Your Stuff Matters - It Really Does

"Extreme Poverty anywhere is a threat to human security everywhere"

Childhood is the most cheerful time in a person's life. Children should spend this time of their life with ease. They should play, study, eat good food, learn how to be good citizens and have a nice time without worries. Unfortunately not all children get to enjoy their childhood the way they should. Poverty, lack of resources, family problems and many such issues force children to struggle with the responsibility of working for wages.

It is always better to give than to receive. When we help others, we not only make their lives better, but we also make the world a better place. Helping those in need not only benefits them, but also benefits us. It feels good to know that we are making a difference in someone's life. I too wanted to experience and feel that happiness.

Today, with the members of Rotary Club of Panvel Symphony, I experienced the happiness of donating clothes and ither useful things to the needy people living in our surroundings. The children living in slums were passionate about learning and being educated to live a good life ahead. All the families living there did not have proper sanitary conditions or proper houses to live in. Looking at these children and their families made me realize how privileged we are in our lives. The happiness on their faces was so hearth warming, even though I did not give them new clothes, but the smiles on their faces was worth seeing.
