An eventful year has come to an end. In other words, an eventful period for Rotary club of Panvel symphony is about to begin.
As I rewind my thoughts, I remember I was invited for a casual meeting and was immediately impressed with Rotary. I was new to Rotary, so was quite apprehensive in my approach. My purpose to join was not so clear but just after joining I attended Ann's night and thought it's a good platform to engage in social activities. How that decision helped me make several memories at Rotary is now history. Before I knew it, I was chosen as secretary.
I was worried but decided to keep all those worries aside and take things as they come.
Club meetings unfolded and in the first few meetings itself I realized that there is a greater cause to what I was doing.
A dynamic shift happened in me when it sunk into me that charity is not about donating your money but about donating your time. And since that very change, my vision was crystal clear, objectives were clear cut and then motivation to be part of this movement was not that hard.
I am happy that we not only change people's lives but we make friends that last a lifetime. I was fortunate to work with our President Rtn. Shripad Vaishampayan and all Board of Directors team.
Our new President Rtn. Yogita Deshmukh has a wonderful vision and I am confident that she will set an excellent example, culture for our club and will take our club to new heights.
As I step down as a secretary of this vibrant club I wish new President and BOD team all the very best!
